I'm still learnin...Apologies for the English... I'm still learning Welsh... my reading/speaking skills are OK but my writing needs some work! <br /><br />I've always noticed that most English people are quite happy to take the piss out of their nation but will never make fun of themselves. They are obsessed with status. Their individual identity is more important than the collective. Most of them are embarrassed by their nationality and try to distance themselves from it. In their eyes, being English is something for chavs in Ingerlund shirts. <br /><br />Welsh people are the opposite, we aren't self-obsessed and are willing to take the piss out of ourselves. It's a different story when it comes to our nationality. We have a strong sense of community, place and belonging that the English will never understand.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
